Pasta with chicken Marsala is one of our family favorite dishes. It’s a creamy and rich meal that we can’t get enough of. I know, it may sound fancy, but trust me, it’s not difficult to make at all! Thanks to my trusty slow cooker, I’m able to get this on the table without spending too much time in the kitchen.
For this recipe, we’ll need some boneless chicken breasts, flour, salt, pepper, mushrooms, garlic, Marsala wine, and some chicken broth. It’s a perfect meal for a cozy night in or for when we have company over. Here’s how to make it:
1. Start by seasoning the chicken with salt and pepper. Then dust each piece with some flour.
2. Heat some oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
3. In a slow cooker, add the chicken, mushrooms, garlic, Marsala wine, and chicken broth. Stir everything together.
4. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be cooked through and tender.
5. Once the chicken is done cooking, remove it from the slow cooker and set it aside.
6. Heat a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the sauce from the slow cooker and let it cook down for about 5 minutes, or until it’s thickened to your liking.
7. Serve the chicken with the sauce on top, and with some pasta or rice on the side. Garnish with some chopped parsley if desired.
I like to serve this dish with some homemade garlic bread on the side, and a crisp green salad. It’s a perfect meal that’s classic and will please everyone at the table.
