Hearty Chicken Gyros
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4 Greek pita breads
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup diced red onion
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix together oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Set aside
- Coat sliced chicken with the spice mix.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Add chicken strips and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
- Warm up the pita bread for 30 seconds in the microwave or on the stovetop.
- Place cooked chicken, diced tomato, and red onion on a pita bread. Top with 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce.
- Wrap the pita around the filling and enjoy!
